About Me:

I was born in Young Harris, Georgia, and was raised on a farm that is now the site of the Brasstown Valley Resort and Golf Course. I graduated from Towns County High school and received an associate's degree from Young Harris College before transferring to Emory University where I received my bachelor's in business administration. I was later certified as a Certified Public Accountant before attending law school, and I feel that my experiences with accounting, particularly my attention to detail and knowledge of tax implications, distinguishes me from my peers. After receiving my law degree from Georgia State University, I worked in Dalton during a period of consolidation in the carpet manufacturing sector where I helped business owners take full advantage of their buyouts with competent trust drafting.

After serving in various roles, such as Vice President of Finance for Bartow Paving Company in Cartersville, GA, and Controller for a real estate development company in Hayesville, NC, I served as counsel to J.D. Tittle in Hiawasee for X amount of years before buying out the practice in 201X. I pride myself on working closely with my clients to understand their estate planning needs and deliver personalized solutions, with my particular strengths being in trust and tax law. Whenever I'm not at the office, I enjoy hiking in the beautiful Applachian mountains, spending time trout fishing, and spending time with my wife, Georgia, who serves as my practice manager, and my two children.

My Expertise:

I am primarily focused on Elder Law, with extensive experience in in the areas of Estate Planning involving Wills and Trusts, and Power of Attorney's. I have helped families with complex multi-state planning needs and those with blended families. I also have experience with post-death Estate and Trust Administration and practice in the area of civil litigation relating to estates and trusts.

Georgia Bass Corn

Practice Manager, Chatuge Elder Law

Education:

  • Associates of Fine Arts from Young Harris College (1978).

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia (1980).

About Me:

As practice manager, I work in the background to ensure the office runs smoothly. I oversee the general operations of the office. For example, I perform various clerical and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, processing payroll, greeting clients, answering phones, and replying to client inquiries and emails. Most importantly of all, I enjoy being able to help people, and I take pride in assisting customers in any way I can.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy living in the north Georgia mountains as I find the Appalachian Mountains and Lake Chatuge to be a source of peace and inspiration. I have loved the area ever since attending Young Harris College. I appreciate being part of a smaller community where there is less hustle and bustle, and where you can have fellowship in faith and in community. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well drawing and painting whenever I can.
